Overview
Portable fire extinguishers remain the first line of defence for small fires. Our BAFE-aligned technicians supply, install and service the full range — water, foam, CO2, ABC powder, wet chemical and water mist — including P50 service-free units where appropriate.
What we do
- BS 5306-8 site survey to determine the correct types, sizes and locations.
- Supply, install, sign and commission with new tamper seals.
- Annual basic service and 5-year extended service (10-year overhaul on CO2).
- Tagged asset register with online certificate access.
- Staff "use of extinguishers" training available.
Why this matters
Article 13 of the Fire Safety Order requires premises to be equipped with appropriate firefighting equipment. Failure to maintain extinguishers to BS 5306-3 is a common enforcement finding.
Frequently asked questions
P50 is a service-free composite extinguisher with a 10-year manufacturer guarantee. It still requires an annual visual inspection and a 10-year overhaul — but no annual service charge.
